Phallika is a fashion brand that merges soft-tailoring with contemporary cocktail design. The brand fuses Cambodian culture with modern western styles, embracing natural fabrics to create a unique sense of style. Phallika uses traditional Cambodian textiles to create unique and exotic pieces that cross traditional and contemporary boundaries. The brand uses element of classical styles and modern structures to create simple, yet timeless and exclusive garments for women all over the world. All garments are made to empower you to embrace your own unique sense of style.
My Story
Phallika Sreng (Nina) is a designer based in the beautiful island state of Tasmania in the south coast of Australia. She began her fashion journey in 2014 at one of the world's top leading fashin schools TAFE NSW in the Fashion Design Studio, home to some of Australia's top designers.
With a history in Law and eight years of managing her own restaurant back home in Cambodia, Nina decided to pursue one of her dreams of becoming a fashion designer. Her love for fashion came as a young girl always dressing her friends for parties and special occasions. With zero knowledge and no skills in fashion at all, Nina took a leap and moved to Sydney Australia in 2013. By 2014 Nina had begun taking courses at the TAFE Institute.

She went from not knowing how to thread a machine to designing and making complete garments herself within the four years she spent at the Institute. Nina completed her degree at FDS in 2017, soon traveling overseas with her 'Magic' collection, to compete as a finalist in the International Fashion Fusion of Technology (IFFT) competition in Shanghai.
In 2018 Nina moved to Hobart to complete her Masters in Marketing and Management at the University of Tasmania, where she won First Prize in Product Innovation. Today Nina is the proud founder of the unique brand Phallika The Label, bringing Cambodian flavour to the fashion world.
